Macon Holistic is an in-network provider with select insurance plans, listed below. To best service you, we must verify your insurance benefits prior to booking your first appointment. Please click on the link below and complete the online benefit verification form. We will contact you as soon as we are able to verify the benefits (typically within 2-4 business days). Established patients wishing to utilize insurance benefits for the first time will be asked to follow the same steps. 

Steps for new patients using insurance:

  1. Prior to booking an appointment, use our insurance verification form. Provide your insurance information. We will verify if your insurance covers acupuncture treatments and any exclusions.

  2. We will contact you in 2-4 business days regarding your plan’s insurance coverage of acupuncture services.

  3. You may then book your appointment over the phone or using our online scheduler. Select the “New Patient (Insurance)” option when booking.

Important items to consider when using insurance to cover acupuncture treatments:

  • Not all health insurance plans include acupuncture as a member benefit.

  • Some plans will only cover specific conditions (ex: acupuncture for chronic low back pain).

  • Some plans require a referral.

  • Some plans only cover acupuncture for a specific number of sessions (ex: 10 sessions) or for a specified period of time (ex: 90 days).

  • It is the responsibility of the insurance holder (the patient) to know if the details of their plan and any exclusions.

  • If you are seen for an appointment but your insurance plan does not cover the cost of the treatment or denies the claim, the patient is responsible for the cost of the treatment billed to insurance.

  • Insurance does not cover late cancellation fees, no show fees. These are the patient’s responsibility.

  • Insurance does not cover cupping, ear seeds, herbal formulas, or other treatment modalities.
